At the June 18 meeting the Board approved several grants, contract sign-offs and capital repairs. Commissioners voted to accept a state-funded Marine Safety grant (with matching funds) after Sheriff Patrick Whiteford described changes to the original grant; the motion passed by roll call (7–0). The Board also accepted a $15,000 PetSmart grant for COA programs and authorized Chair Fisher to sign the Final System Acceptance Certificate for the Motorola FLEX software used by Dispatch.
Further procurement approvals included six Tel Rad change orders for new Dispatch equipment, authorization to spend up to $4,222 from GL #585-805-934.000 to replace automatic Kaliseum door openers and an additional $2,000 for Civic Center irrigation (cost not to exceed $11,500). The Board approved purchase of a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse for COA under MiDeal at a price not to exceed $41,000. All motions were approved by roll call votes as recorded in the minutes.
