Henderson updates zoning and subdivision fees; Planning Commission plan approved

Building Official Brent Beshires and City Recorder Jim E. Garland told the board the Planning Commission recommended an updated fee schedule to better cover rising meeting, plat-recording and advertising costs; the current schedule dated from November 10, 2011. The schedule presented includes plan-review fees such as $100 for a simple two-lot split, $200 for 0—4 lots, $250 for 5—24 lots, and up to $1,000 for 100 or more lots.
Ald. Mark A. Barber moved to approve the rate increases as presented; the motion was seconded and carried. Garland noted the new fees still may not fully cover costs but will improve the fee structure relative to the prior schedule.
