Sheriff says existing campus space can cover most storage needs; recommends vacating some buildings by June 1

Sheriff Whiteford told the DPW Committee he measured county structures on campus and found sufficient space to address most storage needs, noting the horse barn could accommodate trailers and other equipment but that gym equipment would require alternate space. He said he hoped the DPW supervisor would attend the meeting and that some reuse of Kaliseum space should be considered.
Whiteford recommended vacating certain buildings "in entirety by June 1" to prepare for the upcoming move from the Annex. He also raised security-camera needs and estimated cost of about $3,000 for additional cameras. Chair Comai said he would meet with the DPW supervisor and the clerk to circulate the storage report to other commissioners for review.
