The Mountrail County Commission voted July 7 to sign an Agreement transferring Planning & Zoning powers and functions from the City of Ross to Mountrail County. P&Z Administrator Melissa Vachal presented the public hearing; Julie Woodbury and Celeste Moody attended on behalf of Ross. The recorded motion passed with a unanimous roll call vote.
The transfer formalizes county responsibility for planning and zoning functions previously exercised by the city. The minutes record that the board "Moved by Comm. Hollekim, seconded by Comm. Olson, to approve the signing of the Agreement for Transfer of Planning & Zoning Powers and Functions with the City of Ross and Mountrail County."
