Board approves several hires, door-access vendor and conference travel

At the Jan. 7 meeting the board approved multiple personnel appointments and vendor actions. The board hired Mary Prickett and Andrew Worrell as General Education Route Drivers at $19.25 per hour contingent upon completion of licensing, certifications and background checks. Kristin Russeau was approved as Cook #2/Cashier at $15.08 per hour and Heather Johnson as CES IF Aide at $14.85 per hour; all appointments were contingent on meeting state and district requirements.
The board also approved Verkata/KWS to provide door access systems for the district (motion by England; supported by Fowler) and authorized Dominick Chrysochoos and Hannah Sugg to attend the Michigan Science Teachers Association Conference on March 6–7, 2026, in Kalamazoo. All motions carried 5-0 and were recorded in the minutes.
