Commission forgives late fees for a mobile-home taxpayer and agrees to one-year payment plan for another resident

Wilde reported the property owner is willing to pay the tax but requested forgiveness of late fees; Commissioner Lee Perry moved to forgive the late fees and Commissioner Boyd Bingham seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
In a separate item, taxpayer Dustin Norman requested an extended payment plan for Parcel 03-137-0032 after a long medical-related absence from work. Treasurer Shaun Thornley reported the outstanding taxes totaled $9,235.89 for six years and noted Norman has made five payments since regaining employment. Commissioners instructed Norman to meet with the Treasurer's and Attorney's offices to formalize terms; Commissioner Perry moved to enter into a one-year agreement, Commissioner Bingham seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
