The board used part of its April 21 meeting to coordinate multiple culvert and bridge matters. Moore Engineering reported that culvert materials for Murray Drain No. 17 Bridge Nos. 223, 292 and 304 are expected to be delivered by month end; Moore will coordinate delivery and installation with the Traill County Highway Department. Manager Thompson also reported erosion at Bridge No. 209 in Wold Township and the highway department will perform repairs.
Board members noted Hatton Drain No. 45 sustained culvert damage that Naastad Bros. Inc. will repair in 2026. For N. Mayville Drain No. 8, Civil Specialties will remove tree piles on the frost to prevent road damage, with remaining cleanup to resume in summer. The board affirmed prior authorization for a 24" x 60' culvert purchase for Miller Drain No. 29, with TrueNorth Steel confirming inventory and the Bakkums handling pickup and installation.
