Box Elder County adopted Resolution 26-13 to revise personal policies and procedures related to fleet policies and occupational safety and health.
Annie Hansen told commissioners the update corrects discrepancies between two sections of county policy that had outlined different disciplinary processes for failure to report accidents: "The changes made to the policy through this resolution corrects those discrepancies and make sure that we're, following the same process," she said. Commissioner Bingham moved to adopt the resolution and Commissioner Perry seconded; commissioners voted in favor by voice vote.
County staff said the revisions align internal procedures and will be incorporated into the county personnel policy manual; staff will publish the updated policy and implement the clarified disciplinary steps.
