A commissioner moved, “My motion would be that, we table the 2 items until next Monday, and we reschedule another commission meeting for next Monday to address these issues once we've had time to share with the public the information we've been presented in the last 24 to 48 hours…,” and the chair seconded the motion. The chair then called for voice vote; the motion passed and commissioners set the next meeting for Monday, May 4 at 4:00 p.m., with a preference to hold a town hall at the County Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building to accommodate more residents.
Commissioners said they had been inundated by constituent questions over the prior days and that they needed additional time to review environmental, water and infrastructure studies and to make materials available to the public. Chair Commissioner Vincent reiterated the need for order in the chamber while the meeting proceeded.
