Claycomo trustees approve bills, recognize police promotions and new equipment

Chairman Terry Bradich presided over the meeting where trustees approved routine financial items and recognized police personnel changes.
Trustees discussed invoice timing and line items including uniform alterations for newly hired officers, fleet vehicle repairs (air conditioning, oil changes and brakes) and replacement camera equipment for the Police Department. "Motion: Approve payment of bills for May 11th 2026-June 5th 2026," moved Trustee Mark Benton and seconded by Trustee Renee Hoppe Keelin, passed by unanimous roll call. The board recorded that new patrol vehicles have arrived and are being outfitted, with additional vehicles expected in July and August; Officer Gehrs has completed field training and is on solo duty while Officer Throckmorton is midway through training.
The board also held a promotion ceremony during which Police Chief Coonce and trustees "expressed congratulations and appreciation for Lorenson’s service" as Officer Andrew Lorenson was formally promoted to Deputy Chief.
