Events & Marketing reported that the recent Travel the Towns Passport program was successful, with 23 participants completing the passport and six visiting all 61 participating locations across three towns. The program allowed distribution of more than $3,000 in prizes donated by local merchants, and merchants reported increased visits.
Staff also noted upcoming events: a Movie Night in the Park on June 27 featuring Hook; an Independence Day celebration on July 3 with additional activities provided by Elevation Sports; Story Time in the Park on July 11 in partnership with the county library; and a block party on Congress Street slated for July 23 that remains in planning stages. The town encourages volunteers for the Enhancement Committee via an online interest form.
