Planners to discuss impervious surface options with watershed partnership; BOAA invited

At the April 30 session Land Services Coordinator Beth Gervais told the Board that the Planning Commission will meet with the Lower St. Croix Watershed Partnership on May 21, 2026 and that one of the likely topics is impervious surface coverage. Gervais said the conversation will include "options to potentially increase the maximum allowable amount of coverage, without need for Variance, through implementation of mitigation efforts."
Gervais invited members of the Board to attend the May 21 meeting; Board members did not take action at the April 30 meeting on the topic. The Planning Commission is the next scheduled local forum for that discussion.
