Commissioner Monty Piearcy moved to accept the application and to appoint County Clerk Troy Cole as the county's designated representative to investigate the application; Commissioner Floyd Coffman seconded. The board also authorized publication of a Notice of Public Hearing to be held on May 29, 2026. The motion passed unanimously (Piearcy—AYE, Sharpton—AYE, Coffman—AYE).
