Board reappoints Park Board members and approves planning and AIS advertising contracts

At the April 8 meeting the board reappointed Roger Henning (District III) to the Park Board through January 31, 2028 and appointed Michele Bulau (District II) to fill a vacated term, with motions recorded in the minutes. The board also voted to contract with the Southwest Regional Development Commission (SRDC) for development of the Nobles County Comprehensive Plan 2050 for an amount not to exceed $70,000.
Separately, the board approved an Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) public‑education advertising campaign for 2025. The county will receive $50,582 in AIS aid in 2025 and had an AIS fund balance of $187,818.04 on Dec. 31, 2024; the board approved Option 3 at $61,000 with The Globe and Media Works for the campaign (motion: Demuth; second: Dybevick).
