He said there were no specific development plans on file but that the landowner, Jon Henry, sought to bring the parcel into the town for potential commercial use. The joint public hearing with the Town Council drew no public comments.
Commissioner Sonny Mongold moved to recommend the rezoning and George Daugharty seconded; the motion passed by voice vote, 4-0. The commission's recommendation will be returned to the Town Council at a future meeting for final action.
