The Board approved Resolution No. 26/0415-4 granting an Interim Use Permit to Matthew Johnson and Heidi Johnson that allows a singular accessory structure up to 900 square feet at 41950 Ferry Road in Sunrise Township. The permit is conditional on the structure being constructed in general conformance with submitted materials and on township verification of driveway access prior to building permit application.
Conditions prohibit sanitary facilities beyond seasonal portable toilets until the property is further developed with a principal structure, disallow overnight accommodations or residential living quarters until full compliance with building codes is demonstrated, and require further County review for any significant deviations. The Sunrise Town Board had recommended following the town planning commission’s recommendation that the IUP not be needed under MN Statute 245A.14, subd. 1, but Chisago County concluded the site is not the location of the licensed nonresidential program and proceeded with the IUP process.
The motion carried unanimously.
