Kids Camp organizers thank Canton, seek town support for July program

Representatives of Canton Kids Camp presented to the Select Board on June 2 to thank town departments and to request continued support for the annual program. Mike Mahan (introduced by the clerk) and committee heads including Caitlin Reynolds and Joe Sullivan described the camp's origins and scale; Robbie Dixon, identified as the camp president, thanked institutional partners and said the 2026 session is planned for July 13–17.
"37 years later, last year we had 1,200 campers on the field," one presenter said, describing growth from a small start into a broad volunteer‑led effort. Presenters credited high school volunteers, local churches and community organizations for facilities and logistical support, and they asked the board to continue municipal assistance so the program can proceed this summer.
