Hanover and Ashland EDAs hold special joint meeting to align development goals

Hanover County and the Town of Ashland held a special joint Economic Development Authority meeting on Oct. 27, 2025 to coordinate strategy and discuss projects that cross municipal lines. Ashland EDA Chair Randy Lewis called the meeting to order and Hanover County EDA Recording Secretary Elizabeth Harper confirmed attendance and that “we have a quorum.”
Hanover EDA Chair Trey Hayden outlined recent achievements and a set of priorities for the coming year while Ashland’s leadership described parallel revitalization goals. The meeting covered multiple shared projects—Holland Tract, Iron Horse development, Route 1 Small Area Plan and outdoor recreation initiatives—and concluded with an invitation to adjourn to the Dominion Energy Innovation Center for networking and a DEIC presentation. The session recorded no public comments.
