Floyd County awards $1.31 million contract to Mathy Construction for T47 resurfacing

The Floyd County Board of Supervisors voted to approve Resolution #08-26, awarding the T47 (Packard) HMA resurfacing with milling project FM-C034(123)--55-34 to Mathy Construction Company for $1,305,739.41. The project covers T47 from B60 north 6.5 miles to Highway 14; the Board recorded a roll call vote with Supervisors Frank Rottinghaus, Boyd Campbell and Gloria Carr voting aye and the motion carrying 3-0.
County Engineer Adam Miller told the Board the county will accept the low bid and the Board authorized the County Engineer to execute the contract documents once all required bonds and insurance are provided. The award was presented as part of the county’s road improvement program; the Board’s action directs staff to move forward with contract execution and project scheduling.
