The Hanover County Community Services Board reviewed a long list of donations during its April 20 packet review and voted unanimously to accept the items that required board approval. Contributions included hygiene kits, holiday gifts for individuals served by developmental disability support coordination, food donations to the CSB food pantry, and larger monetary gifts to agency funds.
Donations detailed in the packet ranged from a $60 in-kind hygiene-kit donation from West Point Community Church to larger contributions. Two large items were forwarded to the County Administrator as recommendations for acceptance: a $7,090.85 donation listed under Leslie Halstead (motion recommended by Ed Gooding, seconded by Sue Randolph) and a $12,000 donation from the Jane & Arthur Flippo Foundation to the RAFT Member Fund (recommended by Ed Gooding and seconded by Sue Randolph). The minutes record motions passing unanimously for acceptance and recommendation.
