At its April 22 meeting, the Nobles County Board approved three bargaining agreements reached after negotiations this year. The Deputy Sergeant bargaining unit's contract was approved with pay retroactive to Jan. 1, 2025 because the unit is designated essential. The Highway contract was approved with pay to begin April 13, 2025 (not retroactive) and included a one-time lump sum payment of $500. The Public Health contract addendum was approved with the same April 13, 2025 effective pay date and a one-time $500 lump sum.
Each contract was presented as concluded after negotiations with county and union teams. The Deputy Sergeant contract motion was recorded as moved by Chris Dybevick and seconded by Justin Ahlers. The Highway contract approval was moved by Robert S. Demuth and seconded by Chris Dybevick. The Public Health addendum approval was moved by Justin Ahlers and seconded by Chris Dybevick. The minutes record that each motion "was duly passed," but do not include detailed vote tallies.
