At its Jan. 29, 2026 work session the Huachuca City Council moved to open discussion on two planning items: B.1 (possibility of allowing tiny homes and ADUs) and B.2 (possibility of mixed-use zoning for business property). Both motions were moved by Mayor Johann Wallace and seconded by Councilmember Christy Hirshberg to open the respective items for discussion and/or action.
No final ordinances or zoning text were adopted for either item during the work session. The transcript records staff presentations and repeated discussion entries, but not a recorded vote on either B.1 or B.2. A later motion to adjourn, moved by Johann Wallace and seconded by Christy Hirshberg, "passed unanimously." The minutes were certified by Town Clerk Brandye Thorpe on Feb. 12, 2026.
