The City Council unanimously approved Item 24‑053 to permit temporary grading within a required buffer on roughly 88 acres east of Atlanta Newnan Road, near the Coweta County line.
Applicant representative Heike Slinin of Integrated Science Engineering described the work as limited: "This is a very minor temporary disturbance just to grade back into the existing grades," she said, adding plans will plant additional trees to improve the buffer. Councilmember Lightsey moved approval with staff‑recommended conditions; Councilmember Peek seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Staff and the planning commission recommended conditions to ensure restoration and avoidance of long‑term buffer degradation; the approval allows the applicant to complete temporary grading under those conditions.
