The Bennet City Council approved a Letter of Financial Commitment supporting the city's application for a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant.
Brian Schuele provided the update: the application would pave Cottonwood and Tyler Streets and construct a trail to connect residential neighborhoods on the east side of town to an improved highway crossing NDOT will construct. The city plans to request letters of support from partner agencies and to include a letter committing 20% local matching funds as part of the application.
Dan Zieg moved and Pete Simmons seconded a motion to approve the letter of commitment; the Council voted unanimously in favor. The approval allows city staff to assemble required materials, including letters of support, and to submit the commitment with the grant application.
