Jeff Dobson used the hearing of the public to press the Selectboard about four‑wheeler/ATV traffic near his Hughes Road property, saying riders frequently use a route that passes his home and that police response has been slow. "I waited 45 minutes until someone showed up," Dobson said, and asked whether the town could place markings or cones to direct riders.
Selectboard members said some signs and road markings are regulated and cannot be placed without meeting standards; Greg Placy encouraged patrolling of the route and Tim Stevens suggested using the department’s public tip number for incident reporting while steering regular police business to the main dispatch line. The board did not adopt an immediate remedy during the meeting.
