North Country Council updates Colebrook on homeowner CO‑OP utility project; resident raises property‑damage complaint

Selectboard member Greg Placy opened a public hearing at 5:00 p.m. for the Colebrook Homeowner CO‑OP infrastructure project, and Taylor Roy of North Country Council gave a status update about the grant the council is administering for water, sewer and electric work at 7 Fourth Street.
Resident Teri Ladd‑Haynes asked, “are they going to improve and fix any properties along Edwards Street, they ruined my back yard, and I can't even mow my lawn now.” Town Manager Tim Stevens said he recorded her address (45 Edwards Street), explained why the property looks the way it does, and promised the contractor will restore affected properties before the project is complete. Stevens said there will be a final inspection as part of project completion and that contractors will not be paid until required fixes are made.
