Wilkes County recommended for opioid-settlement youth prevention funding

Willard described the model as evidence-based and oriented toward creating positive out-of-school environments for adolescents. The board heard the funding recommendation as part of the department’s larger community health improvement and prevention portfolio; members did not take a vote on the funding during the meeting but noted the program's potential to expand youth prevention efforts.
