Town clears two community events: Children’s Business Fair and Ogden Valley Easter Egg Hunt

The Huntsville Town Council approved two community special events on March 19: the Valley Children's Business Fair and the Ogden Valley Easter Egg Hunt.
Conrad Hilton, organizer of the Business Fair, said this was the fair’s seventh year and that organizers recorded 125 booths the previous year. Mayor Sorensen moved to approve the fair while waiving the special-event fee and assessing a refundable $250 cleaning fee; the motion passed unanimously. The event application (Attachment #3) lists a planned date of May 13, 2026 and estimated attendance around 400 in prior years.
Separately, councilors approved an Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 4, 2026. The council approved no special-event fee for that event as well, but required a refundable cleaning fee; organizers estimated 100–300 attendees and listed needs for bathrooms, parking and potential food trucks. Both approvals leave final permit conditions to staff review and require compliance with Weber County health and public‑safety requirements where applicable.
