The Huntsville Town Council approved $14,485 to complete the FY2025 audit and instructed staff to reissue a request for proposals for audit services. Beckki Endicott told the council "it was time to do an RFP again for the auditor," noting staff will check with other cities on providers and fees.
Council Member Sandy Hunter moved to approve the expenditure, and Mayor Richard Sorensen seconded. A roll-call vote passed 4-0. The council said the town's recent infrastructure challenges and a loan application to fund pipeline upgrades motivated the need to confirm audit services and update the town's financial arrangements.
