The Whitewater Joint Powers Board voted unanimously on May 26 to acknowledge signed resolutions from partner entities and to formalize the board's disbandment. Dicey Spring, Whitewater Watershed coordinator, said signed resolutions had been received from all partners and that, pending final charges and refunds, remaining unrestricted monies will be distributed to partner counties according to acreage within the WWJPB project area.
Using April 2026 balances, the board was told approximate distributions: about $47,000 to Olmsted County, just under $46,000 to Winona County, and just under $29,000 to Wabasha County. The board recorded the motion to acknowledge the resolutions and formalize disbandment on a motion by James Rentz, seconded by Andy Kronebusch; the vote was recorded as 'Yes – All.'
