4‑H leaders report enrollment and shift away from current 4‑H building lease

University of Minnesota Regional Director Tony Hansen, Extension Program Leader Jan Derdowski, 4‑H Educator Jeanette Eller Watland and 4‑H Youth Leader Ashley Kovar provided an update on local 4‑H programming, goals and enrollment. The group thanked the commissioners for their support and outlined educator staffing and the network of local clubs.
Derdowski said the program will not renew the lease for the existing 4‑H building "in its current condition" and will instead use a building offered by the Fair Board; staff indicated they expect no issues with other fair-related exhibits. Commissioners thanked the presenters for their work and for supporting youth programming in the county.
