County staff presented bid results for several Road Department solicitations, including RFP 2026-034 (Bituminous Mixture: 3 of 4 respondents), RFP 2026-035 (Culvert Pipe: 4 of 6 respondents), and RFP 2026-036 (Dense Graded Aggregates: 5 of 13 respondents). The packet included additional sign- and pavement-marking solicitations with varying response counts.
Commissioner Jon Hinkelman moved, supported by Commissioner Teri Freehling, to refer the bids to the relevant departments with authority to move forward with the lowest bidder provided the bidder is approved, responsible, and meets specifications; departments must submit justification to the Finance Committee if they wish to select a non-lowest bidder. The motion carried.
