The Study Commission set a public forum for Wednesday, May 13 at the Metcalf Center to present the proposed charter amendment to voters and distribute educational materials. The motion to set the date was made by Terry Vermeire and seconded by Kevin Orrino; the motion passed 3‑0.
"Mr. Chair I like to make a motion that we set the date for the forum on May 13th at the Metcalf Center," Mr. Vermeire said when proposing the date. Commissioners discussed printing handouts with The Leader or local printers and agreed the Metcalf Center's larger, accessible space made it preferable to the courthouse courtroom. The commission tasked members with preparing and approving education materials at upcoming meetings ahead of the forum.
