The Anaconda‑Deer Lodge County Study Commission voted unanimously to accept its final report, with commissioners saying the document reflects the majority view of the panel. Commissioner Kevin Hart urged that the report note the small percentage of residents who participated and said that low turnout suggests most residents are satisfied with county government.
"When you couple that even with the same type of comments on the online survey it still comes out to 1.2 percent of the entire population," Hart said during the discussion. Commissioners also acknowledged a five‑page minority report that will be attached to the final submission and filed with the Department of Administration.
