Salem Township tells Redstone Paving it's too late to pave in 2025; project deferred to 2026

The Salem Township Board of Supervisors on Nov. 19 instructed staff to notify Redstone Paving that it is too late to complete the Forbes Road paving in 2025 and that the board will determine whether to proceed in 2026. The motion, moved by Ken Trumbetta and seconded by Kerry Jobe, passed unanimously.
Board members said the contractor’s timing and weather windows argued for deferral to ensure a quality job. Supervisors discussed options for 2026, including rebidding the work or asking the same contractor to hold its price until next year. No final procurement decision was made on Nov. 19; the board will revisit the project during 2026 budgeting and procurement planning.
