Board approves park-equipment and salt-shed grant applications, and seeks bids for damaged traffic signals; EZ-Pass agreement OK'd

Separately, the Board authorized advertising for bids for replacement of a mast arm assembly at the Rt. 22 & Hollywood Square/Salem Plaza intersection (vehicle strike June 13, 2025) and a new controller assembly with battery backup at Rt. 22/819 (vehicle strike July 23, 2025). Insurance claims have been filed with Assured Partners; the Board instructed staff to obtain competitive bids for final replacement work to comply with procurement rules. The Board also approved an E-ZPass Agreement with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, with Supervisor Kerry Jobe stating, "there will be a written policy on the use of the EZ pass transponder." All motions passed unanimously.
Taken together, the actions authorize pursuit of external funding for park equipment, replacement procurement for traffic-signal infrastructure damaged in crashes, and a lane-access convenience agreement with the Turnpike Commission subject to an internal transponder-use policy.
