Board approves routine permits, small grants and contract actions including Slickville fireworks permit and $550 arts grant

The July 16 meeting included several unanimous, routine approvals. The board approved a Fireworks Display Permit for the Slickville Volunteer Fire Department and waived permit fees provided the township receives a completed application and Emergency Management approval. Supervisors also approved an Arts Grant Contract with the Westmoreland County Commissioners for $550 awarded to the Salem Township Recreation Board, and ratified a revised letter of support for the Seanor Farm Park Phase 3 Baseball Field Project.
Separately the board accepted Derry Construction Co., Inc.'s request to be released from a materials contract and approved a Small Flow Treatment Facilities Operation and Maintenance Agreement for Stephen and Madeline Sauer (Tax Map No. 57-14-00-0-129). The board approved a 10-Acre exemption request for Matthew Boe conditioned on SEO and DEP review. Hiring for a road crew position was tabled again; the minutes note the hiring motion has been tabled monthly since November 20, 2024. All motions in this group passed unanimously.
