"This bill is designed to ensure that critical infrastructure and homeland security information voluntarily shared... will be protected from public inspection or disclosure," Eldridge said, listing categories of records to be kept confidential.
No substantive questions were raised by the committee; the clerk announced a 4–1 vote and the chair confirmed the bill will move to the full committee for additional consideration. The bill explicitly lists categories including threat information related to terrorism, targeted violence, sabotage and foreign-adversary activity and sensitivity information from public and private partners.
