Representative Lynn (S11) explained an amendment and the bill to extend the Open Meetings Act requirement that agendas be posted at least 48 hours to additional governing bodies that have authority to make binding decisions or appropriate funds. The sponsor said the amendment clarifies which bodies are included and explicitly excludes nonprofit associations from the expansion. "Agendas are standard information that should be made available and legally need to be made available before meetings," the sponsor said.
Committee members offered no further questions and the bill was advanced to full committee with a recorded vote of 6 ayes and 0 nos.
