Town outlines lighting and potential bump-outs under Downtown Transportation Fund repairs

Planning staff updated the commission on Downtown Transportation Fund improvements planned for downtown Lyndon, saying the town will install new lighting and is evaluating curb bump-outs to improve crosswalk safety.
Planning Director Tracy Bodeo said engineering for the DTF projects is expected to take about three to five months and that the town is coordinating those plans with the larger downtown designation and capital-improvement planning work. "The Town is also making progress on energy efficiency projects in the Municipal buildings, as part of the MERP grant," she said, noting LED replacements and mini-split systems are included in the energy work.
No construction schedule or contract awards were approved at the meeting; commissioners received the update and instructed staff to continue engineering and grant coordination.
