The Salem Township Board on Aug. 20 approved monthly payments totaling $377,371.29, including a $255,488.22 partial draw identified as coming from a Multimodal grant for traffic-signal upgrades.
Supervisor Kerry Jobe told residents the Multimodal and ARLE grants together "are about $950K," and that the August payment is only a partial payment toward broader signal upgrades across Salem Township. Resident Debbie Perino asked whether the $255,488.22 was paid from the grant and inquired about the overall grant award; the Board confirmed follow-up information would be retained with the minutes. The expenditures motion passed unanimously.
