Walters said the Friends of the Library’s annual Chocolate, Wine and Cheese fundraiser on Feb. 7 “had the largest crowd in his experience.” He reported that a visit from Lincoln Elementary School students on Feb. 23 went very well and that library staff member Charlotte Slaughter and volunteer Penny Leary were popular readers for the program. The Friends will hold a book sale at the library March 20–21, and AARP volunteers will continue providing free tax-preparation services at the library on Mondays through mid-April.
