Following a public hearing during which Treasurer Melissa Knowles summarized receipts, grants and project requests, the Huntsville Town Council voted to approve an amended FY26 budget and to adopt the proposed FY27 budget. Both votes were recorded as roll‑call approvals of 4‑0.
Knowles highlighted RAMP grants received for audiovisual equipment at the community center and for Aldous cabin repairs and reported the town expects to break even on the Fourth of July celebration. Council members instructed staff to proceed with grant‑funded projects, budgeted park repairs, road signage replacements and to include funding priorities identified in the FY27 proposal. The amended FY26 budget and the FY27 proposed budget will guide staff project scheduling and procurements for the coming year.
