Commissioners approved several courthouse maintenance items on June 22, including repairs to the third‑floor courtroom door and a broken third‑floor light fixture. The motion was made by Commissioner Rick Shriver, seconded by Commissioner Thomas W. Jones III, and passed 3-0.
Separately the commission approved Younies for initial weed removal and spraying at $800, mulch installation at $515 and ongoing weed treatment at $150 per month. The motion passed 3-0.
Why it matters: maintaining courthouse facilities and grounds preserves public access and safety and is an ongoing county operational expense.
What’s next: county staff will coordinate repairs and landscaping work with contractors and report completion to the commission.
