Chair Jeff Wickersham opened the public hearing at 6:02 p.m. and invited public comment on the proposed consolidation. The hearing closed at 7:46 p.m.; Wickersham announced public comment on the consolidation will be offered again at the next board meeting. No formal decision was taken at the April 18 meeting.
At 7:47 p.m. Lisa Birney moved to excuse the board to executive session for 18 minutes; multiple extensions followed and the board returned to regular session before adjourning at 8:31 p.m. Mark Chambers moved to adjourn and Lisa Birney seconded. The board cited the need for continued deliberation and more detailed staffing information before any final action.
