County approves Crown Road developer agreement, including wider bridge and three‑way intersection

The court reviewed and approved a developer agreement under which a subdivider will construct improvements to Crown Road, including a new three‑way intersection with traffic control signage and an emergency flood gate. Portions of the improvements outside city corporate limits will remain private and be maintained by the homeowners' association; portions inside city limits will be conveyed to the city in conformance with local roadway standards.
County staff said the developer will also make a bridge improvement at no expense to the county; commissioners noted the site has had two previous fatalities and that the work should improve safety. The motion to approve the agreement passed 5‑0. County staff thanked the developer for working with the county to deliver the improvements.
