The Planning Board supported conducting a group site visit in advance of Stephens Landscaping’s site plan amendment review, currently scheduled for August 12, citing the size of the proposed redevelopment and ongoing equipment operations on the property.
Town Planner Charles Wise recommended a group visit rather than multiple individual visits to reduce safety risks posed by active equipment on site. Board members asked the applicant to make the engineer and materials available on site to answer questions and requested advance drawings. Member Cornelia Schneider noted the legal sequence for acceptance and site visit timing under RSA 676:4 I(b) and cautioned that a board should generally not hold an officially noticed site visit until an application is formally accepted; Mr. Wise said he would confirm the legal approach with town counsel and coordinate logistics with the Chair.
