The Rogers County Board of County Commissioners on April 27 approved a zoning change requested by GBS Properties, LLC to rezone a parcel from AI (Agriculture-Industrial) to C-4 (Commercial Central Service) to permit an RV campground. Brittany Senters, Planning Commission deputy director, presented the case description, legal description and recommendation; no members of the public spoke for or against the rezoning during the public hearing.
Commissioner DeLozier moved to open the public hearing; Commissioner Hendrix seconded. After the presentation the board closed the hearing and approved the rezoning by unanimous roll-call vote. The Planning Commission had recommended approval by a 5-0 vote prior to the BOCC action. The rezoning approval is contingent on the property's intended use as an RV campground as noted in the request paperwork.
