NextEra outlines Nanesca Thermal Storage tie line; construction expected Sept–Dec

Samantha Nisbett of NextEra Energy Resources presented the Nanesca Thermal Storage project and described coordination on a transmission tie line and road-use agreement. "So reason for coming here today is just, 1, wanting to continue what, both Cody and I had set out to and keep the line of communication open between us and the county," Nisbett said, stressing the company’s intent to work with county engineers on preconstruction inventories and road routing.
Nisbett said the team had reviewed road-use expectations and that deliveries are expected to begin in mid-August, with construction slated to start in September and an anticipated finish by December. She said Exterra is responsible for constructing the tie line and Antora is building the collocated facility within city limits. County staff confirmed prior road‑use agreements and preconstruction inventories will be completed and that no immediate road-use issues were identified.
The presentation closed with a request for continued communication as the project advances; NextEra provided contact cards and asked staff to direct technical or timing questions to their project-management engineer.
