"The server is about $81,000. The grant is covering about 51,000," IT staff told the court. Staff said the county initially requested a larger award but pivoted to an in-house solution after the governor's office approved a partial grant; the in-house approach will provide capabilities the county had previously sought from a vendor.
Finance director Brianna said she certified the revenue and asked the court to authorize her to override contingency limits so staff could issue a purchase order and place the order; the court approved the motion. Commissioners emphasized the importance of the county managing security needs efficiently while documenting how grant funds are used.
